Amy Korthank is Senior Associate Director of Academic Support in the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences (CLAS) at the University of Iowa. She is a 2024 Mental Health Champion Award recipient, recognized for advancing student well-being alongside academic success. In her role, she works closely with students navigating complex issues that impact their academics, offering guidance that is both compassionate and solutions-focused. Amy also plays a key role in resolving student and faculty concerns, including mediating complaints and academic honesty cases, and supports the CLAS academic concern form process, which helps identify and respond to student challenges in a coordinated, care-centered way. She represents CLAS Undergraduate Programs across campus, ensuring student needs are centered in decision making. Amy is passionate about fostering resilience and creating supportive environments where students can thrive, emphasizing the strong connection between mental health and student success.
