Nikki Gullion is an academic executive with extensive experience leading curriculum governance, accreditation, concurrent enrollment, and faculty development across a multi‑campus community college system. She currently serves as the Dean of Curriculum and Concurrent Enrollment at Eastern Iowa Community Colleges, where she provides district‑wide leadership for instructional quality, academic policy, and student pathways.
Nikki has directed regional and national accreditation efforts and advanced institutional effectiveness initiatives that strengthen teaching, learning, and student success. Her leadership portfolio includes supervising, guiding faculty development, managing grant‑funded initiatives, and building collaborative partnerships with K‑12 districts, higher education institutions, and national and statewide agencies.
A recognized leader in concurrent enrollment, Nikki serves as President of the Iowa Alliance of Concurrent Enrollment Partnerships (IACEP) and as Secretary of the National Alliance of Concurrent Enrollment Partnerships (NACEP) Board of Directors, where she also contributes as a national Lead Peer Reviewer. She participates in statewide workgroups focused on assessment, accreditation, and academic policy.
Nikki’s career spans roles as an assistant professor, department coordinator, NACEP coordinator, and K‑12 educator. She has been honored with the Distinguished Faculty Award (2022) and Outstanding Faculty Award (2019) for her contributions to instructional excellence and student success. She holds a Master of Science in Education from Drake University and a Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education from Cornell College. She is currently pursuing a Doctor of Education in Leadership at the American College of Education, with research focused on generational leadership in community colleges. Nikki is known for building inclusive, high‑performing academic cultures and for her commitment to elevating others through intentional, service‑centered leadership.
